Experiment like Galileo Galilei
Jupiter and moons – timeline in March 2017. Maybe you remember how Galileo Galilei discovered the moons of Jupiter in 1609.
He was observing Jupiter with his simple telescope, writing down the notes and drawing the positions of every moon. He was doing the same observation in different days. And what happened? He discovered the fact that the moons are orbiting their home planet Jupiter.
I have decided to take some photos with my camera, without using a telescope. Maybe you have already noticed some of my previous posts in this blog, that I am posting some photos of Jupiter and that I do not use the telescope. Yes, I think that for this purpose it is enough to take photos this way.
After couple of days I have processed the photos and put them one by one next to each other. And take a look on the final timeline. We can really see how Mr. Galileo Galilei saw the moons of Jupiter. Isn’t it nice?
Are you curious about Galileo’s original notes? You can see it in Florence, Italy, in Museo Galileo. Below you can see the photo of Galileo’s notes.
