Jupiter and moons – timeline in March 2017. Maybe you remember how Galileo Galilei discovered the moons of Jupiter in 1609.

Clear night sky allowed me to take some some photos with my camera. Again without using a telescope. Here is one of my photos of Jupiter with its moons.
Finally the night sky was clear after couple of days. And a very nice present for all of us was up there – Moon and bright Jupiter very close to each other.

I am sure that you have noticed this week’s announcement of NASA and ESO about the discovery of 7 exoplanets orbiting the star Trappist-1.
Last night was the prenumbral lunar eclipse, but there was also a great opportunity to take a photo of planet Jupiter with its Galilean moons around.
