Jupiter and moons – timeline in March 2017. Maybe you remember how Galileo Galilei discovered the moons of Jupiter in 1609.
Lets’ hope that the Sun will rise tomorrow again 🙂
Clear night sky allowed me to take some some photos with my camera. Again without using a telescope. Here is one of my photos of Jupiter with its moons.
Finally the night sky was clear after couple of days. And a very nice present for all of us was up there – Moon and bright Jupiter very close to each other.

I am sure that you have noticed this week’s announcement of NASA and ESO about the discovery of 7 exoplanets orbiting the star Trappist-1.
Last night was the prenumbral lunar eclipse, but there was also a great opportunity to take a photo of planet Jupiter with its Galilean moons around.
Information for observing of the prenumbral Moon eclipse visible from Europe in February 2017.
